STARFISH

Starfishes have a very complex central nervous system. They have neural networks stretching around
their mouth and across their arms. All neural networks and nerve endings are sensitive to and can
perceive light and touch. We took inspiration from this knowledge in design of the Starfish, a product
intended to carry children to the peak of fun and the thrill of the climb, while also helping develop their
muscle system coordination and improve their physical abilities. The set provides the children with a
target to climb towards, helping them overcome their fear of heights. The product supports mental
improvement of children by challenging them to select a path of climb, while children start to act more
careful and controlled with the rising height, thus also learning to take calculated risks.
